What exactly is a cold-extracted botanical melt?
A botanical melt is a concentrated plant infusion in solid form, made with one or more botanicals, water, and time. It is extracted below 40°C and dissolves on the tongue or in warm or cold water. No added sugar, preservatives, or flavoring agents.

How is this different from a tea bag or an instant powder?
A tea bag relies on hot water to extract flavor while it brews, and some delicate aromatics dissipate with the steam. Instant powders are often spray-dried, which briefly exposes the botanical to high heat.
Our melts are extracted below 40°C to retain the botanicals’ color, aroma, and character.
Are there any added sweeteners?
Two of the four melts—Two Brews and Coconut on Mango—include a small amount of monk fruit extract for a quiet, natural sweetness. That is the only sweetener used anywhere in the catalog. There is no added sugar and no artificial sweetener in any product.
Are the melts caffeinated?
Two Brews contains caffeine from coffee and Liubao tea.
Spice That Rose, Coconut on Mango, and Sakura Glow are caffeine-free.
Do the melts contain allergens?
All four melts are manufactured on a line that also processes wheat, soy, peanuts, crustaceans, milk, and tree nuts.

Should I use hot or cold water?
Start with hot water and stir until the melt is fully dissolved. Enjoy warm after cooling to a comfortable sipping temperature. For an iced drink, dissolve in hot water first, then add cold water and ice. A cold-water start takes longer; shake in a sealed bottle to help it dissolve, or let it infuse slowly.

Can I use milk or plant milk?
Yes—warm oat or almond milk works beautifully with Two Brews. Steamed dairy mutes the more delicate florals in Spice That Rose and Sakura Glow, so we recommend water for those blends.

Where are the melts made?
Eastern Petal is distributed by Verdant Lifestyle, a small brand house based in New York. Production takes place at a single contract facility in southern China, near the source of the leaf, petal, and root. Every batch is tested for heavy metals, microbial load, and pesticide residue before it leaves the facility, then retested by an independent U.S. laboratory upon arrival.
